Work...

Wow, what a week. Spent many long hours at work on a global project that's finally seeing the light of day. All the heavy lifting is over and the team is very happy with the results. Go research!!

Now I can get back to focusing on my novel. I got back comments from Scott Nicholson after sending him 5 pages of my story. I clearly need to focus on a couple major things: keeping consistent with my tenses, and not switching between present and past. OK, I can fix that. I also need to be more descriptive with my prose. OK, I can work on that as well. I'm going to tighten up the first 60 pages of my novel, and then send them to Scott to see what he thinks. I'm also plowing ahead and will keep these things in mind as I continue to write. I'm sticking with my goal of trying to type The End by the end of the year, and as long as I focus and not take any more weeks off...I should be able to do it! Gotta do it. Need to accomplish something!! And of course, if it all sucks crap, it doesn't matter :)

I had put down Little, Big by John Crowley...picked it up again I really enjoying the story. The sentences he writes are so lyrical. It's amazing. I still don't see any real plot happening, and I'm about 200 pages in. But I'm going to keep at it and we'll see.
