Back on track
Had a great couple days with my East Coast friend. Wife and I are trying to convince him to move out West. It's time he made a fresh start. Too much baggage out East. My daughter loves him, so that would be cool. Instant babysitter :)
I sent five pages of my novel to Scott Nicholson, author of The Harvest, The Manor and a new book called The Home. An up and coming horror author making a name for himself. He'll edit these pages for free, and if I like what he has to say, will charge me 50 cents for every page I want critiqued. Totally nervous!!! I have a feeling he's going to red-line every single word I've written, and I'll be revealed for the hack I am! We shall see.
I think I need a new name for my novel. My current name is too mundane, and I think the story lends itself to something more mystic or historic...or a cool sounding word or phrase in Latin that has a significant meaning. Need to work on that.
Damn Mets can't win two in a row!#$%^@#$%. Watched The Dark Crystal on DVD. I thought it was just OK. The story seemed way too thin. Something was missing. The bad guys weren't very convincing in their roles. Have to watch Labryinth next. Took my daughter to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Very enjoyable. I think I prefer the first one, but that's because we've seen it a zillion times. I'm sure we'll watch Charlie a dozen times on DVD, so maybe my opinion will change. Time for bed.
G'night.
