Been a week...

First of all, how the heck do I find out if anyone is really reading these posts?
Ah well, who cares :)

So, my twins are both sick. One has been fighting bronchitis for over a week while the other has a double ear infection. I think they are both finally getting better, but it sucks seeing them in pain, and it sucks all the creative juices out of me...I know, that's another excuse and if I really want to finish my novel then I have to stop making excuses. Well, the good news is that I finished Chapter 7 tonight, and I've got 43 pages done. Not a heck of a lot in the grand scheme of things, but I'm getting there. And I'm definitely feeling good about it.

Purchased The Historian at Costco. On the one hand I'm dying to read the book, especially since it's billed as "horror" and is about Dracula. Plus the first time author sold the book for a gazillion dollars and now they are making a movie about it. I guess I should feel good about that, since my novel could very easily become a flick...not to mention a comic book series, a video game, etc...And since I've planned this one as the 2nd in a trilogy (why does everyone write trilogies!!!), there is hope. Of course, I first have to write the damn thing!!!

Go see Batman Begins if you haven't. Really enjoyed the movie. Don't like the crappy quick cut fight scenes, but overall a really intense and fun ride. If the FF movie is half as enjoyable than I'll be a very happy camper!! And what's up with Tom Cruise? Keep yer mouth shut already...
