I'm definitely workin it...

First off, I want to say how horrible the situation in New Orleans and the surrounding area is, and how fucking pissed off I am at the Bush administration. It's one thing for that moron to have gotten re-elected, but for him to spend his vacation (and that loser VP of his) while this devastation is going on, and then for his government to be so slow to react...it's remarkable. Absolutely remarkable. Ok, no more.

So I've been accepted into the Borderlands Writers Boot Camp, which takes place towards the end of Jan in Baltimore MD. The bottom line is that by next week, I have to submit the first 40 pages of my novel, a chapter by chapter synopsis, and brief bios of my main characters. All of this will go into some sort of giant binder, and the 20 of us accepted into the program will then have the opportunity to review each other's work, so we can be prepared when it all starts. Not to mention the four prominant authors who'll be leading the charge all weekend. I'm very nervous!! I think I'll come away from this experience either realizing I have zero talent and should stop wasting my time trying to write a novel...or I'm onto something and need to keep at it.
