Nothing feels better than figuring it out!!

So for the Borderlands Boot Camp, we've been asked to write and send in the first two pages of a brand new novel. A number of years ago, I came up with a great idea for a movie - a dark, supernatural horror story that hadn't been done before. I worked on it with my writing partner and he ended up writing a really gripping action/thriller with supernatural overtones. Nothing wrong with that at all...and even with the genre change, I thought it would sell in a heartbeat. Suffice to say he's still trying to get it off the ground. Anyway, I've always wanted to write it as a novel, but stick to my original idea - a dark fantasy/horror story all about angels, gargoyles and one bad ass female creature :) Coming home from work this evening, I was wrestling with a new title, since the one we used for the script was straight forward and incredibly descriptive in a way...it didn't have a novel feel to it. And then it hit me about 20 minutes from home and I screamed for joy in the car and blasted the radio. I came up with a perfect title, which of course propelled me to want to write the damn thing. SO...I just completed the first 2 1/2 pages of this new novel, which I just sent along to the Borderlands team. Not sure what they are going to do with it, but we'll see...So while I really want to get crackin on it, I still have to finish my first novel. And yes, I'm still psyched as shit to write and finish it. Especially since I recently figured out an amazing idea for the sequel!!!!!!!!!!!! Aaah, too many things to do and not enough hands to type them with :)
Getting nervous for the Boot Camp. But excited as well. Nuff said for now!
