Finished an incredible book - World of Hurt, by Brian Hodge. www.brianhodge.net
Absolutely loved the book. It was very short, about 160 or so pages...but wow, this guy can write. And the idea behind the book is right up my alley. I'd love to see a prequel or sequel, cause there is so much more to tell...wow.
Just wrote another 3 pages of my novel. Feeling good, very good about it. I'm about to introduce a female detective, who I think will have an interesting part to play. We shall see.
Bought a couple first edition, signed Neil Gaiman books on eBay - Coraline and Stardust. Both are being made into movies, and not only are they good investments, but Gaiman is one of my favorite writers, and I can't wait to add these to my collection. Would love one day to have half the career he has.
Reading Civil War by Marvel comics. The huge "event" that is selling tons and tons of comics. I like it, but don't love it. It feels at times like a bad movie editing job. Things happen, and I know I'm supposed to purchase the "tie in" comics to fill in the blanks...but I think Marvel and Millar could have done a better job giving us more of the story. At times it all feels half baked. But...can't wait to read the new Thunderbolts comic. Very interesting!
