Halloween...and other stuff

My parents were in town for half the week. Always fun when they are here, and my dad always makes me fix or finish or do something to the little shack my family and I live in, so that's a bonus. They were incrediby close to my daughter while in NYC, so it's hard watching them hang out with and play with her, and then have to get back on a plane, knowing they won't see her again for a couple months. And to make matters worse, my mother ALWAYS cries when I drop her off at the airport. But they got to spend lots of quality time with the kids, so that's nice.

I'm dressing up as Scooby Doo for a Halloween party later today, as well as tomorrow. It's a huge full blown costume, and i haven't shown my daughter yet. Going to be hilarious! A bunch of families are coming to our house tomorrow, since our neighborhood is famous for the elaborate stuff the homes do. LOVE this holiday, especially because my daughter loves it. It's awesome seeing her face when she goes trick or treating and comes up to a house all decked out with tons of cool and scary stuff. I think tonight I'll watch SAW on DVD :)

On page 85 of my novel, and getting very nervous because any day now I'll be receiving the binders from the Borderlands Boot Camp. We have to read through all 20 submissions, and I just know mine will stand out as totally amaeturish!!! We shall see. GREAT NEWS about Stephen King writing Dark Tower stories for Marvel Comics. I can't wait to pick those up. And how cool would it be to have Mr. King take over an established hero in the Marvel Universe. I'd love to see him tackle someone like Blade, or Moon Knight, or write a Tomb of Dracula/Werewolf by Night series. Oh, how I'd love to establish myself as a novelist, and then go and write comics for Marvel. A man has got to have a dream!!!

Time to feed the boys - lunch time has arrived. Nuff said...
